Herb Compound Butter

As if plain butter wasn’t delicious enough!

1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened (I used unsalted and added my own salt to taste, but you can also try with salted butter)

2 Tbsp basil, finely chopped

2 Tbsp parsley, finely chopped

2 Tbsp rosemary, finely chopped

2 Tbsp oregano, finely chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

-Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well blended. You can use more/less herbs based on how strong you want the butter flavor to be.

-Serve soft for use right away or roll into a log for later use.

-To make a log: transfer butter to a sheet of plastic wrap and roll into log shape. Tightly twist both ends and store in refrigerator for at least an hour to harden. Slice off what you need and enjoy!

-Use on bread, add on top of steak, mix with roasted veggies, etc. Use anywhere you would use regular butter or oil for a flavor boost.

*These can be stored in the fridge for 1 week or frozen for up to 3 months.
