I have to share … I was pregnant with our 4th child, Leo, and I was not handling the pregnancy well. When Luke told me he was going to go away for 3 days (without the kids :) to take down a greenhouse, I burst immediately into tears. Thank the Lord for my mother-in-law & my mom, and their amazing help!

Opening to the Public

After growing primarily for wholesale for 42 year, we opened a garden center so that we could serve the Kankakee area.

Expansion

2020. Do I even need to go on? My husband Luke & I bought the business from his parents Chris & Vince. COVID hit. We thought we wouldn’t be able to open AND we purchased a pumpkin farm. We had quite a few oh S#&t moments that year, but in the end, we pivoted several times, and thanks to some hard work, luck, and your support, we thrived. We are open from April-June for our spring season. We are open from September to October for our fall season.
